August 13, 2026, marked more than a ribbon cutting. It marked the official beginning of a new era for FHhair Studios.
After months of planning, designing, building, preparing, inspections, late nights, and countless decisions, FHhair Studios officially celebrated the opening of its Westmont, New Jersey salon studio with a ribbon cutting ceremony surrounded by support, excitement, and the people who helped make this moment possible.
For founder and stylist Edgar “Eggy” Lee III, the ceremony represented something much bigger than opening the doors to a salon. It was the physical arrival of a vision built through more than 20 years in the beauty industry.
From Behind the Chair to Building a Brand
FHhair Studios was not created overnight.
My journey in hair began more than two decades ago, and throughout those years, I have worked behind the chair, traveled from city to city, styled clients for special events and productions, explored hair extensions and transformative color, and continued developing my approach to healthy hair and individualized beauty.
There were even moments when I considered putting the comb and flat iron down altogether.
But somehow, my clients never really allowed that chapter to close.
Through career changes, late nights, weekend appointments, traveling, and life changing around me, people continued trusting me with their hair. Eventually, I realized I wasn’t simply continuing to do hair—I was being pushed to create something bigger around the work I had spent years developing.
That vision became FHhair Studios.

Standing inside FHhair Studios for the ribbon cutting was surreal.
There is something different about seeing a vision that once existed in your head become an actual space—with a door you can unlock, a chair waiting for the next client, products on the shelves, tools ready to work, and a name on the business you built.
The ribbon represented a finish line, but it also represented a starting line.
